Introducing Braiins Deck Release 26.02
This time around, we're bringing you a smarter Night Mode that respects your sleep, more flexible widget settings, and the ability to choose your preferred units. We’ve also included a solid round of fixes to keep everything running smoothly.
Features
- Night mode settings (brightness, volume, LED notifications) are respected during power on as well.
- Boot sound volume can be changed through the sound volume settings or turned off completely.
- The screen can turn off automatically in night mode after a period of inactivity thanks to a new setting in Display > Night Mode. You can wake the screen by touching it.
- The temperature unit can be configured for the weather remote widget, and the unit system for the ISS widget. The widget will show the correct unit the next time it loads, not immediately.
- Halving countdown widget added.
- Image widget allows fetching images of various sizes (up to 4K) and resize them to fit the widget space.
- Remote widgets show last data and overlay in the corner when the data doesn’t load instead of showing a full overlay 'Failed to load widget'.
- Passwords in web admin can be shown to look for typos.
Bug Fixes
- Localization is propagated to non-remote widgets immediately.
- Alarm setting is in 12 hour format based on configured preference.
- Timezone is picked up from the browser instead of letting the user choose on initial configuration.
- The AP name on the display always corresponds to the actual AP name.
- The clock widget shows the date on all sizes. It also shows the timezone offset to UTC.
- Pool widget units correspond to pool.braiins.com.
- Pool widget text does not overflow.
- Fixed an issue where screen brightness could be set to 0.
- Clock widget automatically removes timezone override when unchecking 'Show timezone'.
